Oh dear... I'm late again...

Christmas and all the festivities are catching up with me,... I'm late posting my sample for the CCC Digi Creations last challenge of the year! - Rhinestones/Ribbons.  Where have all the days gone???????

Anyway our lovely sponsor for this fortnight is Bugaboo stamps.

Now I've already shared some similar designs I did using the Tropical Santa from Bugaboo... but here is the one I used for my CCC Digi Creations sample

This used a freebie embossing folder (or at least part there of) and the digi image.  I printed the sentiment on the computer and added it with fish tail ends.  Added some gold Rhinestones.  I send this card off to my daughter in Perth.   Counting the hours till we fly out... 63 hours and counting... then it's about 13 hours travel time (we've got a 4 hr layover in Melbourne) ... so getting exciting.... Still have to pack!!!  Piles of clothes here there and everywhere - need to put them in a suitcase!  going from temps in the late teens to high 20's and beyond... up to 35C predicted for Christmas Day...  QUITE EXCITED if you hadn't already realised.

wishing all my readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  I'll be back around New Year as I'm hosting Die Cut Divas for January and will schedule a post... but otherwise I'm off line for around 2 weeks...

A little Tinkerbelle box

The girl I sit next to at work loves Tinkerbelle and yesterday was her 27th birthday.

I was inspired by a card in a box I saw on Pinterest.  I used the rounded top I saw and the use of the lacy edge punch.  I've had the Tinkerbelle image for couple years.  I can't remember exactly where I got it from.  The butterflies are from a Kaisercraft set.

I have to say Alice adored this card... all day she kept picking it up so the butterflies would flutter around.

Christmas is now just round the corner... This time in one week, I'll be in Perth Australia to stay with my daughter and her partner.  Christmas with her for the first time in 5 years!!! Very exciting, then on New Years Eve, Emma and her partner Andrew are getting married... even more exciting!   This will be her second marriage and I wish her and Andrew all the very best...  Love you both

A "Kiwi" Christmas

I got an order to do a few "Kiwi" Christmas for one of the team leaders at work.  He wanted 7 cards with a "Kiwi" flavour.  Christmas in NZ is mid summer ( not that summer has come yet!) so I thought I'd use some Bugaboo images from a series called "Tropical Santa"  I did 3 of one images and 2 times two other images.

I changed up the sentiments on each one.  The green and red branches are supposed to represent the Pohutukawa tree (aka NZ Christmas Tree)

One of my other collogues saw the them and asked for me to do the surfing one but with sunnies on and with a bottle of beer on the sand...

Hope these have given you a bit of a giggle...

I'm a Fishing Widow this weekend with Hubby heading off for a weekend's fishing trip.  He'll be back Sunday afternoon.  So you can guess what I'll be doing this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!  Not all crafting as I do have some household chores to do... but already made a couple of little 4" x 4.5" cards and envelopes.   Just need a few more Christmas cards.

Have a great weekend

A few more Christmas cards

Had a busy weekend but still managed to get a few more cards done... still short a few for family...

Another one using a Couture Creations die and a sentiment from Kaisercraft.  I used this design to make a set of cards that I sent out to some of my friends.

This one is using just some PP and gems.  Rubbed some white ink around the edges to give a blackboard look

PP and a white embossed sentiment.  The tree is die cut from some holographic card that came with some fishing lures that Hubby bought on Sunday.

This one used some pencils and a Prisma colourless pencil blender.  I used a technique I saw Jill Foster do... added some browns to the lower leaves to give the flower depth.  The banner is a la Catherine Pooler - used to cover up a mistake!

Just finished up 7 "Kiwi" card for a commission.   I'll share these later this week.

Thanks for visiting.

It's Chrismas Time.....

over at CCC Digi Creations ( and I forgot to post on the 1st!)

Our sponsor this week is

Mitzi has some lovely images and I chose to work with this cutie

As  you all know I love my dies and this time I used a Spellbinders Timeless Rectangle to cut out my image.  I sponged the edges to give it definition.  My PP is from My Minds Eye.  My stamped sentiment is from a Winnie & Walter set.

Do hop over to see what the other's have created.  I am happy to say Rose's card is now sitting on my TV cabinet.... such a beauty.

Entering this into Virginia's View - all things distressed seeing as how I've distressed the edges.

Christmas treat boxes.

I got asked to make some little treat boxes for a work colleague.  I used a design from Jennifer McGuire (see her video here)

Michelle requested 6 of these....little boxes

I used a variety of colours and PP to make them.  For the bows I used a template I got with a magazine.    She was really pleased how they turned out. And I had a lot of fun making them as well.  Her idea is to fill them with cookies or fudge that she'll make with her 6yr old and 4 yr old.  What a great idea.

I sold so many cards at work that I've got a heap more to make so I can send our NZ family theirs.  I've got a few overseas ones on their way already and sent my local friends one's today.    Working on a few CAS cards I can make in a hurry.

Just 17 more days till I head off on my overseas Christmas holiday.... going to spend some time with my daughter and her partner ( soon to be husband.... they are getting married on 31 December 2014) My whole family - Mum and Dad, son and his fiancĂ©e and hubby and I are going to Perth for 10 days.  Getting very excited.

Farewell November

It's time to farewell November over at Die Cut Divas with a big thank you to Bugaboo Digi stamps who were our sponsors.  I adore their images and just love their generosity to us all on the team.

For my final card for the month I used this fabulous fairy digi

I used my Lil'Inkers stitched rectangles to emboss the base layer and cut the  central layer.  Coloured with a mixture of paints on watercolour paper.  Sentiment is digitally printed on the paper.  Finished with a snowflake die cut with a WPlus9 die.
