Your Kindness....and a Merry Christmas to one and all

Hi.  Just popping in quickly to share the card I had up on A2Z the other day.... I've got family staying so time to blog is at a premium...

Our challenge at A2Z is Dimension.  And my dimension started with embossing paste through the Hero Art Stencil.  Next it was lots of layers - both on the card base and then with the sentiment oval and frame (both dies from Spellbinders).   Lots of pearls finish the dimension.

Hope your Christmas is going to be wonderful.  Once again, I have my fabulous family with me... our house is full to the brim with my parents and my daughter and her hubby staying.  Today was my first day of my Christmas Holidays... I don't go back to work until the 11th January.  A really good time off.  Got a bit done today, - got the light in our dining room fixed, bought a new Jamie Oliver frypan, got a new gas bottle for the barbeque and bought most the groceries needed for Christmas Day.

So wishing all my readers a Very Merry Christmas and Blessing to you all.

Die Crazy over at Simon Says

Was excited to see the challenge at Simon Says this week is "Die Crazy".... I'm CRAZY for die cuts!  I have SOOOO many - some that have never been cut and some have only been cut once or twice.... So here is a card I did tonight - for a friend's birthday

Just love this Quietfire Designs die (by Elizabeth Crafts) It's HUGE, so becomes the focal point on my card.  The flowers are from the Winnie & Walter set that came with StampNation's first kit.   A very simple but effective card.  This is the one I've entered into the challenge..

And here's a quick card I made for my Holden loving son for his Christmas card.

The Holden Ute die is a new NZ one by Craft Concepts.    My son loved it.

So looking forward to this weekend - Saturday my parents arrive and Sunday my daughter and her husband arrive.... so a full on next couple of weeks with family here for Christmas.

Hope Wreath and Coffee Lovers blog Hop

I have two cards for you today.... first up is the card I made for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I used a Bugaboo image and some Spellbinders dies.  The sentiment is a Penny Black one.

Next up is a card I did this afternoon.  I picked up issue 125 Papercraft Essentials and it had a great stamp set.   I just had to make a card straight away

I stamped the beautiful wreath in Versafine green ink and then clear embossed it.  I used some Distress markers to colour the berries and leaves.  The dove was inked with Memento Gray Flannel ink and a few strokes of a pale gray Copic.  I stamped and embossed the bow and fussy cut it out.  The Hope die is by WPlus9 and is cut in some shimmery green paper.    Just love the result I got with this one.   I have about 10 more cards to make over the next week to send to my local relatives.

thanks for stopping by, I do appreciated your visit.

A Vintage Tag card

Our challenge for this months NZ technique swap was:  Anything goes for the card, but you must tuck in a tag with a Christmas recipe/crafting idea/inspiration.

Here's the card I did for my friend Suna

I went for a vintage look with some pretty papers and using a double pocket card tutorial that I found on Splitcoast Stampers.  I used a Lawn Fawn die border die to make my faux stitching line, a MFT die for the lace, a La La Land die for the corners and Spellbinders die for the sentiment frame.

Here's the tags

The tags are die cut with a Pretty Pink Posh die and the stamps on it are Kaisercraft.

I made some of the pies tonight... they are delicious

As I've added the tags to the card I'm entering this into the Tag challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

I've been busy...

Can't believe it's been a week since I last posted.... but I have been busy.  I took my Christmas cards to work on Friday and sold 10 cards... which meant I was short again... so decided I need to do some mass production.

My first set was three similar cards that I did for a swap on Flickr.  Each was similar but slightly different.

I used a die and stamp set I got with a magazine... I just love my freebies!

My next set was again with the same freebies - a gorgeous wreath of holly leaves which I embossed in Platinum powder and some added ribbon.  I did 7 of these changing up the ribbons.

Simple but elegant and really quick to make.

And finally a set of tags my hubby requested me to make for him

Using a real mixture of stamps.  Tags are cut with a CAS-ual Fridays die.

I also managed to get most of my overseas cards addressed and off to the post.  Now I have a few more cards to make as I still have the family cards to send but only three left!  So more mass production need this weekend.

Hope you are not getting too stressed with Christmas preparation.  I'm getting excited as my Mum and Dad arrive on the 19th for a month and on the 20th my daughter and her hubby arrive for a 2 week stay... so full house at our place.  Going to be fun.

Birhtday Flowers

It's my day to share over at A2Z Scrapbooking.

Are you, like me, over doing Christmas cards?  I was really pleased to have a birthday card to make for a friend who's birthday is later this month.....  A nice change from Christmas.

This month's challenge theme is about adding dimension - so I've incorporated some dimension into my card.  I added some dry embossing with a folder and a Tim Holtz diffuser to leave the centre un-emmbossed.  I then stamped the flowers with a Memento Ink and used some Abandoned Coral distress ink to paint the colour in using an old Wink of Stella pen filled with water.... still gives a lot of glimmer to the flowers

I fussy cut the flowers and leaves (painted with Twisted Citron distress ink)   and used Dimensional 3M tape to pop up a couple of the flowers.  The sentiment is from an older Hero Arts set which underwent some stamp surgery to separate the woods.

Supplies:
CL 864 Color Layering Happy Days Flowers
CL738 Messages with Flourish
Cuttlebug embossing folder
Tim Holtz Diffuser

Snowman family - Christmas Wishes from the Heart

Can you believe December is here.... I am so far behind getting my Christmas cards ready to post.  Hopefully this weekend so they will get there on time... but for Chalk'n'Stock I have done a Christmas card.

A beautiful little Snow family.   The image is from our wonderful sponsor, Bugaboo.  I coloured with Copic markers and then used some blue chalk ink to sponge around the family.   Finished with sentiment from Hero Arts after using a Lil'Inkers die to cut it out.

I need to get some more cards made... I've got a heap of orders from work  - including 12 mini Christmas card.  Those are all done and tonight I need to do two male birthday cards.. so will up a bit late as I'm currently watching the VERY LAST episode of Downton  Abbey... apart from the Christmas Special later this month.
